Day 113 Royal Burpee Challenge!
9AM Group WOD
Murph” is a CrossFit Hero WOD named after Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. He was 29, of Patchogue, N.Y. Lt Murphy was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor after his death.
The workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it ‘Body Armor.’ It first appeared on the CrossFit site 18 August 2005. Mike along with his fellow SEALs were not just fathers, husbands, and sons, but they were fellow CrossFitters. As CrossFit has grown, so has our community and every year thousands of boxes around the world participate in CrossFit’s first ever HERO WOD “Murph.” This is one of the many things that we do yearly that makes us as a CrossFit Community so special. In spite of all this, if you do not feel you are up for the complete Muprh Challenge you are more then welcome to scale this workout or do as a team or partner. Hope everyone can make it and look forward to another successful CrossFit Murph Challenge!
